What is Upneeq?
If your upper eyelids have gradually started to droop and make your eyes look tired, heavy, or uneven, you may have acquired ptosis. In some patients, this can also interfere with the upper portion of their vision. UPNEEQ® is a prescription eye drop specifically indicated to treat acquired ptosis in adults.
Could Upneeq be right for you?
Dean Steinberger, O.D. and Associates can evaluate your eyelids and determine whether Upneeq may be an appropriate treatment option. During your evaluation, we may assess:
- The degree and cause of your eyelid drooping
- Whether the drooping is affecting your vision
- Your eyelid and ocular health
- Your medical and medication history
- Whether there are reasons Upneeq may not be appropriate for you
How To Use & Apply The Eye Drops
Position the dropper directly above your eye and dispense one drop into the pocket created when you pull down your lower eyelid.
Then, gaze downward, softly close your eyes, and place a finger at the inner corner of your eye close to your nose.
Apply gentle pressure for 1 to 2 minutes before slowly opening your eyes.
Do not let the tip of the Upneeq vial touch your eye or any other surface to prevent eye injury or contamination. Each Upneeq vial is for one-time use and should be discarded after being used.
